Making Micro-Business Happen

The primary objective of the micro-business program is to generate employment through the starting of micro-level business.  The goal is to provide families with an extra income who, for the moment due to poor economic situations and high rates of illiteracy, are not paid a decent salary.  Some micro-business examples are community stores, knitting and sewing shops, beauty salons, cooking, and baking.

The main method of implementing micro-business projects is through capacity building in the community.  We hold workshops in knitting, sewing, beauty, and cooking for example.  We are working towards holding other types of courses and workshops in the skilled trades.
